I am looking arounf for my first caravan and it will be a 'crappy' as my budget is just £1250. I would like to buy the best I can for this, it must e dry and clean. I have a young child and really wanted a 3/4 berth but have found that to get a decent van at this price considering 2 berths open up my options.
Could 3 of us plus my dog fit comfortably into a 2 berth caravan with a large doubel bed?

Yes easily,we had a bailey pageant cabriolet,it was a 91, 2 berth, the front seats opened up to a huge double bed, and slept me my hubby and son easily we all had a sleeping bag each and slept width ways, the central chest came out giving us loads of space,we weren't cramped, and we had two dogs at the time,a small cavalier who slept on the bed and a Labrador who slept on the floor. It had a cooker grill, shower, loo, lighting everything out modern van had, just a bit older looking that's all, there was no roof light either, but it was spacious and roomy and we were never cramped,in fact thinking back it was a really great van,had loads more room than our four berth lunar had, our son doesn't come anymore as his got older,so we sold the lunar and went back to a two berth, we found that a lot of the two berth were in better decorative condition as there hadn't been families in it.
So search around take a damp meter with you,be prepared to walk away at some, but with a bit of savvy and patience you'll find just what you're looking for, good luck :)

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
