Hi all. Been to Cawood Park just outside of York between christmas & new year. Really enjoyed it. Entertainment and christmas lights. What more could you ask for? How many of you have done it this year or in the past?
Years ago in a campervan with awning up as we had a lovely lecy fire inside so toastie all the time. Even the showers onsite was heated all over . That was when I could run like mad to get from shower to home in olympic timings, well not good freezing bum off after all that lovely heat awaiting. Felt very different, unusual

I just got back from a long weekend (New Years weekend) in the caravan. We had a small meet (about 10 units) near the Cotswolds. There was one camper & me, the rest were in tents (the nutters!)
We all had a great time, although I have learnt a thing or 2 about gas consumption (have only ever done winter camps in my caravan as I haven't had it long ).
I'm also very glad I opted to come home yesterday (Monday), I had taken an extra day off work, just in case, but the strong winds today would've been suicidal for me to try towing in.
We have been to Pembrey CC Site for the past 3 years for Christmas and love every minute of it. The weather was not as good for the holiday just gone but in previous years we have actualy sat our on Christmas Day in our loungers! We always do a full dinner and we have our mobiles to call our families to pass on the greetings. Cant fault it for getting away from the rat race to be honest....
