Does anyone have any advice on levelling a twin axle caravan? Is it simply a case of getting two sets of wedges, one for each axle, or is there more to it than that. All the illustrations I have seen on the packaging only show one wheel.
Thanks
dead easy.
we just use two ramps and put them back to back on the side that needs raising.(i.e. highest side of each ramp facing each other < > )
if it needs more lift then i put the ramps further appart. and if necessary drop a brick/stone/piece of wood between them to allow the wheel to roll over easier as i reverse.
never needed more than this....and with a bit of practice you know how far appart to do them based on where your spirit level is sitting.

With the new twin axles the ramps combined with the ALKO Secure lock are pain in the rear. This year we are going to take a couple of planks along with us as this will allow you to achieve your height and at the same time allow you to move the caravan backwards or forwards.
Planks are the best, very easy to roll onto. We don't use the wheel locks, the insurance discount is not that great, and really it's not worth the bother. All they ask for is a hitch lock.
We've booked a seasonal pitch, but not sure how flat it is till we get there. I'm thinking I'll have to jack it up to fit the wheel locks anyway (not Alko but similar type by Winterhoff). Our insurers currently insist on them, but it might be a good idea to get that condition deleted when it comes up for renewal.
Thanks for all your ideas.

Our insurance company is quite happy with just one ALKO Secure and a wheel clamp and we still get the full discount. Makes life a lot simpler for us.
We have a single axle but nothing more of a pain in the butt than trying to get the wheel on a ramp and have the Alko receiver in line. Few planks sounds a better bet to me, thanks for tip.
