When it comes to wheel locks others will be along shortly to give you the name of recommended ones but they come at a price. I have both a wheel and hitch lock as my insurance required both but did not specify the type I had to put on. Because I know that no matter what you spend they can be taken off by the determined I went for relatively cheap ones. They still act as a deterrent and will stop the opportunist.

In contrast a friend spent well over £100 for her top notch wheel lock and her van was then stolen IMHO I think you need to balance cost, risk etc dependent on where your van will be and what your insurance company require.

The type of lock will depend somewhat on what type of wheels you have, are they alloy or standard steel? Will they take an alko type lock or not?

With our Lunar we use a Bulldog brand QD lock, and find it quite easy to use, just remember to use the rubber protector pad that comes in the box to stop the metal security disc that protects your wheelnuts and tyre valve from being undone and coming into contact with your caravans wheels or trims, which could lead to minor scuffing.

Just dont be tempted to buy a cheap unbranded one from the likes of argos or aldi ect, because although they may look similar, they are likely to be made of a much inferior metal that would be easy for any potential thief to have cut off in a few seconds flat.
