When you say end washroom, do you mean full width or is a corner washroom acceptable? There are several fixed bed corner washroom models around with 4 berths just under the 1500 kg mark.

We originally wanted an end washroom, but when we went to view and compared two virtually aesthetically identical caravans - one with side washroom and one with end, I was surprised at how much living space was lost in the latter.

So, after deciding that we wouldn't get as much use out of the end bathroom as we would extraliving/kitchen space, we
went with the corner washroom. Suits us down to the ground, we love it. I love the end washrooms but we always stay on CC sites (or similar) so didn't really need it.

We had a Bailey Ranger 540/4 (I think) which was a four berth with end bathroom had great fun with that van.  At the end of the day, it depends how much your willing to pay.

We agree, but unfortunately Bailey no longer do. We have a Pegasus 524 with the corner washroom, but when they changed to Pegasus II, Bailey dropped the corner washroom model. One advantage is that after 3 brand new Baileys it removed temptation to change the van so the money stays in our bank account rather than Bailey's!!!!

A 2006 Series 5 was our first van!!!
Again soon after we got ours, Bailey stopped the model, there was no series 6 470/4.

It's been a fabulous layout for us. We bought it as a starter van with the intention of getting something bigger if we took to caravanning. Still perfectly happy with it and having seen anything to beat it in recent models.

Fixed beds are no good for us as they are generally too short

We would have liked a full width rear wash room when we changed ours, but due to the extra length, it would have meant putting it in storage and probably needing a new car, so compromised and went for the corner wash room.

The 470 was a great starter van, but after 3 seasons with a then 6 year old we wanted a more separate sleeping area. At the time she was going to bed before us & while it was ok in the main holidays when we could sit in the awning it was a bit restrictive if we went away for a short break.
We got a 6 birth triple bunk bed van next, but we found the centre washroom with hopeless shower curtain too much a compromise when the back room was generally only for 1 child!! The van also felt quite small even though it was 7'6" wide.
Next we got our current van & wished to exclude twin axle vans we felt as a family van the front lounge was too small in a full rear washroom fixed bed van yet the shower is still usable in the corner washroom if the queues at the shower block are too long or we are at a limited facility site. However if we were a couple then the end washroom could win!!
