I have a Pace 1000 sky box and it runs off 12v or mains. My question is, which is the best way to power it . 1 by using a power inverter or 2 direct to the battery using the correct leads of course.Which way would make the battery last longer ?

Direct from the battery is best an inverter isn't very efficient and your battery won't last as long.

no experience of inverters but believe they give off strong pulses and a sky box may not like this.

I'm assuming by asking if battery/inverter is best your not on EHU . So therefore the TV Etc Etc will also be on battery. Your not going to have much life off your battery pal.Running TV & Sky

Of course I might have read it wrong. If I did I'm sorry

The Pace box only uses app 3/4 of an amp so the drain by the box is minimal it depends on the wattage of your TV how long the battery would last.
