This year the White Arches Caravan Group will reach its 40th anniversary.
The firm began as a family-run concern from the Rushden home of Peter and Norma Sharpe.
Their home gave the business its name, but within three months they moved to larger commercial premises elsewhere in the town.
Today there are three sites, plus more than 70 members of staff. The joint managing directors are Steve Sharpe and his brother-in-law Nick White, along with their wives Diane Sharpe and Jo White.
Facilities include dedicated indoor showroom displays and workshop facilities, as well as ‘Archies’ coffee shop and in recent years have expanded to include a dedicated Motorhome Branch.
And White Arches was the first dealer to offer an exclusive manufacturer special edition caravan. Called The Archway it is now a prestigious brand in its own right.
To celebrate the anniversary White Arches is running a 40th anniversary grand prize draw where 40 lucky winners will share 40 great prizes worth in total over £5,000.
Entry is free online at http://www.white-arches.co.uk/ or you can also enter by attending the firm’s 2012 Caravan and Motorhome Show at either its Rushden or Wellingbough branches on the weekend of February 3-5. Entry is free and there will be free refreshments and great show offers.
there's a little added bonus too.
when you enter the draw online, you can print off your email confirmation and use it for free tea or coffee for two in their coffee shop.

I have bought 10 caravans from them going back to the 1970s my present van is the only van bought elsewhere,as i bought a Bailey. Two months after i ordered it they dropped Elldis and became a Bailey dealer.Had they done that a bit earlier they would have had 100% of my business.
Love the cars in the picture! We have been going to White Arches for caravanning bits for 30 years although it was only two years ago we purchased our first caravan from them.

I was going to say the same and also recognise some of the caravans. Although we live nowhere near White Arches, we have friends in Desborough and always visit them when we are with them. We have bought many bits and pieces from them and had coffee in their cafe. Happy Anniversary to them.
