The ones that clip onto the table often rely on the table being strong enough to not only take the weight of the chair but also the baby inside it, which i doubt that some of the hollow construction type caravan tables will do safely and without the risk of either the table tipping over or the bracket being wrenched off the wall depending on type.
We bought one of those type booster seats that are designed to fit onto a dining chair, but have their own tray attached. If you place this far back onto one of the side benches and make sure an adult stays seated at the side of the child then they are fairly safe and sturdy enough to be used as a low-chair type of thing, and will take a child upto around 2yrs old. Ours was from Argos and cost around £14. they also work as a low chair on the floor complete with tray as long as the child is supervised.
