thanks all, wonder if we'd be better going for the Kampa Rally Pro instead. Does the Sunncamp need two people to erect as OH can erect our Rally 260 on his own.
I was attracted to the sunncamp as it felt like good quality material and I wonder if condensation will be less of an issue with the Sunncamp?
Bigtimz, sounds just like our tenting days (trying to get the peg inside the pole).
...better not say what I'd recommend, Savanne!!
Whichever style lightweight you go for, I'd certainly look at Kampa as a make, even if we were to go for a different style to the Fiesta...... which we're not, by the way. LOL
Best wishes - hope you find what you are looking for. Speak soon.
Davis, we love the Rally 260 but dont fancy taking it to a hopefully hot France. We saw the Sunncamp acrylic next to the Rally at Swindon caravans and the difference in material was so apparent. We like the Rally Pro too but we need to wait til the cover is off the van to see what awning we can go for that wont end on a window.

Hi, We bought a sunncamp ultima 390 acrylic off ebay about 2 years ago, if you want the look and feel of a full awning i would really recommend one, as somebody else has said just put some plastic eyelets in the mudwall ( not a necessity but recommended).
Dunc.

We've got the 260 acrylic, had it for about 3/4 years now, found it so good that we never use the full size awning now.
Previous to that we had the nylon porch awning that was also fine for using in Autumn & very early in the season or weekends, but we now more often use the 260 acrylic one.
Agree with other posts about the weight and support poles, we've never had any problems with it being flimsy so long as it's well secured with the guy ropes
We were at Oxford caravans today (same company as the Swindon office) looking at the same awning for our new 2008 provence. I did like it but thought it was strange the flaps at ground level appeared to be on the outside, not something I thought looked right! The Quality is also very good but it is certainly not a very lightweight option as the bag with it in was a fair weight. Be interested to know what you go for?
