There has been an indepth discussion on this elsewhere. ADAC is a breakdown cover with some extra bells and whistles but does not included medical insurance although that can be added at extra cost which depends on age up to 65 and from 66 onwards has about a 50% excess.
I make no secret that I use Red Pennant as I like a completely joined up service and we both have a couple of medical conditions which RP have covered and not charged extra for. My understanding is that they don't load premiums but might exclude some conditions and it can vary from country to country. If you only want 3 weeks cover the difference in cost between the two (comparing like for like) is not that much. ADAC is of course better value if you either make several trips to Europe each year or want to save the cost of UK breakdown insurance.

Sorry - I did do a search t and the last thread just talked about how wonderful they are, no-one mentioned the cost. Only when I did a quote did the true horror reveal itself
Fair enough, it includes medical but I've got an annual travel insurance policy for the family for about £50. I thought they might be a bit more expensive but I was just amazed by the magnitude of it...
