Hello, Does anybody have any experience of buying ex show model caravans or does anybody have any views on buying them. They can be quite discounted off the price of showroom but does thousands of people walking around them poking and prodding take it's toll ?

We had a ex display model, which was in A one condition. We found no marks, scratches or dents in it and at a good price. We didnt regret buying it.

We bought an ex display Elddis avante, but after some time realized the shower tray had a crack, due to the feet/people that had been traipsing around it... It was a great van but we change the shower tray.

Thanks for replies, I suppose the difference is an ex display model is at a dealers and depending how busy the dealership is as to how many people walk around it. An ex show model (one of the big caravan shows) would have had thousands all over it. Hmmm pondering !

It would still be under warranty when we bought our exdisplay we were told to check for damage and anything we found they replaced
