We bought a new bailey Pegasus from Discover leisure in chorley last year, and would have probably taken it back there for servicing, so just wondering where other people take, or can recomend to take a van for service. Needs to be approved though to keep the service history up to date for warranty purposes. Never had a new van before so never had to worry about warranty issues.

Recently took our Bailey for it's 1st service to Flintshire Caravans. Didn't buy it from there, but they we're happy to service the van.

Choose this company as they were near to me and were also a regional winner of Practical Caravans 'Dealer of the Year 2011’ for Wales and Northern Ireland.

If I remember correctly, the cost was £200 inc vat for everything. You don't see a lot for your money, but it keeps the warranty intact and gives peace of mind when you have little ones using the caravan like we do.

I've no problem in recommending them.

We have used Crossleys at Leyland. They have also done warranty work for us via Swift.

i decided that the guy in warrington had the best feedback and picked him.

His no is 01925 710 250  cost is £170 including vat and shock nuts.

I use a bloke who trades as JMB Leisure services and he does a superb job, £145 all in including fresh nuts for the brake drums for a single axle van and he come to you he lives in Bolton. He is MCEA approved and as far as I know he is recognised by the caravan manufacturers to keep the warranty going but if you are concerned just ask him. His telephone number is 01204 415973 and mobile he is 07765604843. I can not recommend him too highly.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Bought our Bailey from Reads at Blackburn and have it serviced there each year, never any probs and you do not have to have bought from them. Costs about £200 so dearer than the independents who come out to you, but as we both work full time and also keep the van in storage, we can drop it off one weekend and pick it up the next and not have to book a day off work or borrow someone's drive to put the van on. Also very easy access from M65 and registered Bailey dealer

Interesting you have mentioned this as when I wanted to buy a new Lunar Quasar elsewhere in late 2009 early 2010 (they don't do Lunars anymore but did then), they told me that they didn't take on the warranty services for other dealer bought vans as they didn't want to get involved in warranty work for vans not bought from themselves - seems its changed now then, good to know as it is our nearest dealer.
