There is an issue at present stating that these covers might be against the law in the fact that the front marker lights are hidden behind the front cover but there is no law against them as yet (as far as I'm aware). The point I am getting to is that if you buy one then it found in the near future to be illegal then you will have to bin the one you have bought and find a replacement that is legal. They need a design with two apertures either side for the marker lights to protrude through but there are that many different variations of caravan designs at the front that it's probably a problem keeping the costs down from a production point of view. This issue has been raised several times but if you are with one of the major clubs then advice would be on offer from their technical department.

Hi, You could always cut two holes in the cover for the van front lights, and use clear flexible plastic on the outer part and sew it in place, that way your lights are protected and you would be legal, if covers without the light apertures were made illegal, no need to bin or go to all the expense buying one for a particular type of van.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
Just to clear up the issue with the lights. Our fitted towing covers come with sewn-in panels for the lights and our standard towing covers come with an easy to use DIY kit.
Also, as from last week, we now use reflective straps to give you even greater visibility.
Im waiting for the black and silver covers to comeback instock at towequipe then will be buying one, without light cutouts but am handy with the sewing machine if it comes to it
Also, if you do use one, be very careful to attach it properly. If this thing comes off & causes an accident you-the driver will be responsible.
Personally, I think they're a bit OTT. A cure for a problem, which was never really a problem in the first place.
But some of us just love our toys I guess. I'm probably just as guilty as the next guy of that. (But for me it's anything to do with the water or electric systems).
I thought one of these would be the solution to prevent stone chips on the front of my Bailey Pegasus therefore I bought one, but only used it about half a dozen times because it kept coming loose, haven't used it since. I think that because my Pegasus only has an awning channel on the nearside it maybe isn't as secure as when fitted to a caravan with an awning channel on both sides.
