The rear upright poles are well worth the money for a nice snug fit, but we never bothered with the monsoon poles and never had a problem. You may like to order a set of storm straps though which fit into the buckles already attached to the frame, some dealers will only supply them at the same time as you buy the awning, and there not found that often for sale in accesory shops.
We are now in our 3rd season with our Kampa 260, and managed to buy a 390 2010 model for a bargain price at the end of last season, in order to give us a little extra space for when our daughter and her family join us for a few days on site.
