Thanks jackie, much appreciated
I spoke to a lady last night who has the same model I was thinking of & she very kindly went out & measured the gap between the day beds for me. There is 5cm's to spare once the cot goes in so that's good to know I'm just trying to convince hubby to go & have a look at 1 but he has now got it in his head that an Elddis Avante 626 would be better. Basically we have found a sprite (09)with motor mover for 9500 open to offers or the Elddis (08) with awning for 10500. We thought it was a 2009 but the owner found the paper work & it stated a 2008. I'm waiting to hear back from another Elddis owner who has a 09 model for 10000. We just don't know which would be the better caravan to go for? I like the idea that the Elddis has a spinny tv stand & microwave & a bit put off that the sprite doesn't & doesn't seem to have many sockets? Hubby says he could always have extra ones fitted & get a microwave fitted up into one of the cupboards. So I guess the question is now in your opinions what is the better make of van? Help

At the end of the day its whatever caravan you feel comfortable with when you actually see them for real, warts and all!

Yes, its good to sit down and look at the pros and cons on paper and do all that important financial and safety stuff regards weights and capacities, and if your car would tow it, but until you have actually spent a little time looking at it for real and tried out the beds ect, you will not know which one is right for you.

I must admitt that I do like the Elddis Avantes, and it would be a caravan I would consider on my 'short list' if i was looking to buy new, but after owning a Coachman in the past, im still a big fan of those too, and like all makes, there will be the odd 'rogue' caravan come off the production line which will have several faults and with be troublesome for its owners no matter which brand produced it.

Good luck anyway, and please dont feel presurised into buying the first one you see, no matter what the vendor tells you in order to secure a sale there and then, there will be others, even if it doenst end up being that one.
