We currently have a Lunar Quasar 546 - triple fixed bunks but the bunks are already proving too small for our children aged 8 and 3. There is a severe lack of headroom!
We've been out looking for a replacement this weekend and have drawn up a short list of the above two vans. Does anyone have an opinion on either - or suggest something else we may have missed? We're keen to have fixed beds for the children and would hope to keep this van for a number of years.
The Bailey Rimini also looks possible but by the time we've added an alarm and ATC you're almost up to the cost of the Cadiz - and the Alde heating really appeals to me!!
We are in exactly the same position although no children so the beds would be for us. I much prefer the look of the Bailey and many of the features such as the extra big pull out at the front so not necessary to put up the table for every meal. I love the fact that you can stand on the roof and access all these bits of the rooflights that get green and yucky.
BUT - two big negative points - the beds are very narrow and wet locker space is very limited so waste containers, porch stuff, etc is all going to have to go into the caravan when travelling.

I'm sure the Rimini has ATC as standard. We looked at a Rimini when we picked our van up from its service last week. Very nice van and we've already decided when its just the two of us (our kids are teenagers) we're going for a twin singles end bathroom layout.
Enjoy the new van.

We have also ordered a Rimini it should arrive end of may.
I liked the look of it after searching a long time.
We carry most things in our car. I thought there seemed a lot of space for storage but different places than we use now. ( our caravan has amazing space )
We have ordered the table cupboard for the front . Because it wasn't standard in the Pegasus.
Never had a bailey so fingers crossed.
We traded the Lunar in - probably could have got more selling it privately but it seemed like the easy option!
Nora - we thought about adding the table at the front - all our other vans have had it, but I quite like the openess that the Ushaped seating seemed to give, so we're going to try without the table and maybe add it later if we find it difficult without it.
We've never had a Bailey either but have heard really good things so we're hoping this one is a keeper. It will be our third van since 2008!!
dont worry Dutters, we're on our third van since May 11 (1st one leaky-got full refund. 2nd one fixed bed- no good with two kids but managed to sell it for what we paid for it and now got a twin dinette layout). Fingers crossed its third time lucky.

Indeed, fingers crossed for us both!! Before our Lunar we had an Avondale end bunk arrangement. Worked well but no separate shower and it was fairly old. We bought it to see if we liked caravanning. Lunar was supposed to be kept for a while but we didn't think through the triple bunk thing. Kids hate them, they can't sit up properly in bed!!
Out of interest did you consider the Lunar 556 which is the same as the 546 but has the full rear dinette so the rear makes into two single beds (at night) and you then have a full lounge during the day (as well as the smaller front lounge). We like it because it gives us a lounge and the kids a lounge as well....if you look at the specials from Highbridge (The lunar Conquest 556) you get the same look and feel as the Clubman but in this layout.
Yes we did look at it and seriously considered it but in the end I felt the end bathroom arrangement of the Rimini and others gave a more spacious feel to the rest of the van.Downside obviously being you have to go past kids to get to the loo once they are in bed!! And we figured we can make the beds into day beds if we need to. And very superficially, I didn't like the green upholstery trims lunar have used this year. Although admittedly we could have changed that.

We were able to get e good deal for the table. Plus they said you still have the option to remove the cupboard they still give you the cushions. So I thought we would have it.
So if you can make enquiries .
