Welcome - if you have a look back or search the title of your thread you'll find it has been asked a lot before and all the answers are there. But it's all down to preference really.

I am a member of both the Clubs as I like to use the CS and CL sites (small, often basic 5 van sites which cost about £8 per night), THS (temporary holiday sites) and to attend the meets and rallies, all of which offer excellent value for money and are great fun.
I am finding this year that I am using the Caravan Club more than the C&CC.
I'm a member of both but certainly prefer CC sites. This year we are using 1 C&CC site, 1 private site and 6 CC sites. Also use CC for May Day Car Recovery etc., Caravan Inurance, Pet Insurance and when we go, Red Pennant Continental travel insurance.
we are members of both but much prefer the CC sites. We wont be renewing our C&CC membership when it runs out in August. I also find the CC monthly magazine far more informative and a better read than the C&CC one which goes straight in the recyxling bin as I think its full of rubbish.

In my opinion, if you want reliable quality sites with good facilities plus tailored insurance/ breakdown then join both - approx £70 a year and 2 magazines a month plus sites at around £20 a night make them a bargain, ...but im sure many will disagree!
Were in both but much prefer the Caravan Club over the C&CC as there site's and toilet / shower facilitys are more modern.
Also the no nonsense approach to rowdy or unsociable behaviour something we have experienced on C&CC site's on Bank Holiday weekends .
I don't belong to either, and we get along fine without it. We've had a look at it though over the last couple of years and as long as you are a regular Caravaner, joining one of them seems to be good value for money.
we are in both for the simple reason its gives you lots of scope on sites to use.whichever one you go for you nearly get your membership money back the first week.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
We have been members of C&CC for 4 years but never used any of their sites. We insured our folding camper through them and then our caravan. Last year we joined in on their meets which have all been very enjoyable. For even more choice we've now joined the Caravan Club too and will compare their insurance when it comes up for renewal next month. We didn't think we'd enjoy meets/rallies but we've met some great people and our daughter always finds someone to hang out with which makes it more fun for her.
I think a lot comes down to if you want to pay for 2 memberships and what you are looking for. As we tend to go away for longer breaks 6-8 times a year then the CC club has more than enough choice for us. We have stayed on one C&CC site and although this was also fine we did feel that the standard of facilities on the CC sites was generally a bit better. Have a think about how often you want to go away, and to what areas, and then see which club suits you best. We wouldn't rule out joining the C&CC at some point but can't justify another membership fee at the moment.
