We've just sold our Swift Challenger 520 SE Caravan after owning it for the last 2 years. Whilst we loved the van, we were fed up of making up the bed at the front every night and putting it away each morning! Plus I'm early to bed and early up, whereas my OH is the opposite, so we decided a layout with the double end seating areas would suit us best.
We have quite a specific budget so it's taken me a while to find the vans with the layout and spec we want within price range. I've now narrowed it down to 2 though and I just wanted some advice on which might be the best option. Both are within a few £100 of each other....
Option 1. STERLING ECCLES ELITE WAYFARER. 2003 Model. Front seating area, toilet with separate shower and Le shape seating at the rear. The idea would be that this rear area would be made up as a double all the time, as there's only the two of us and when friends come the front area seems plenty big enough for us. The only thing I'm worried about with this van is the rear seating area does look a bit smaller than others I've seen, so I'm not sure if the bed would be big enough?
Option 2. ELDDIS CRUSADER SUPERSTORM 2003 Model. Same layout but the toilet and shower are all in one, so more of a wet room. I think this gives a bit more room at the back. The caravan has been converted so that the back is now a permanent double bed. This is what we plan to use if for anyway, so we don't see this as being an issue, but I wondered what others thought about this?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Both area in great condition, come with all the extras and are around the same price. We have a 4 x4 so towing is no problem. Just need to decide between the two now! Thanks in advance!
