Sorry, I was a bit short of time when I posted yesterday, but really Bradcot custermer services are very helpful.
The easy alloy system looks easy for future use, but I would recommend trying the general layout first at home as mine was in multiple pieces at first, but I now have it to the three main bits that now fold down complete together. The three bits are then easier to position compared to working out which induvidual pole is which.
It is a shame Bradcot's website has no instruction video on it. As my awning is a 1035 mm model it has extra poles over the layout shown above.
With regards to errecting, we always do it as a pair as it is far easier than solo, especially if there is any wind!!! We also use rock pegs even if it is on grass as the plastic pegs are hopeless.
1) Feed the main part of the awning material (with the panels unzipped for ease) through the awning channel. Attach the pad brackets to the material.
2) Errect poles starting with the middle one & then the front & rear, leave some slight slack in to assist in the next stage. Lightly peg corners and middle down to save the awning taking off. If using the Bradcot tie down straps, attach now as the attach to the frame rather than the outer material of most tie downs.
3) Zip in the removable panels.
4) Peg down the remainder of the awning & tension out the poles to remove as much slack as possible.
5) Pour yourselves a long drink, you will have deserved it!!!
Don't worry about looking like beginners, we still do after 6 years & the one thing I have found is that there will always be someone on site to help if you need it, us 'vanners are a friendlt bunch regardless what you may read elsewhere!!!
