Well I could not wait any longer, it was such a lovely weekend that I cleaned and prepared the caravan to start using it.

Only thing is since changing my van I now have Aldi heating, can I still use Puriclean for sterilising the water system.

I know the actual heating is run by cooland mix, but I presume there must be a cylider or tank inside the Aldi system that heats the hot water. Puriclean instructions show its ok for most applications, does anyone know if this would be alright to use?

Hi Dave11, cant help with the Aldi system, you could always e-mail them and find out, I would suspect that the hot water would have a tank of sum kind and that it would be separate from the heating system, then it should be ok to use a water sterilizer, Others that have the Aldi system should be along shortly to give you some accurate answers.

We've only got our caravan last year, so this is all new to us, I was in the caravan shop and I saw a bottle of water cleaner, I asked the shop assistant whats this for but he was most unhelpful.

This stuff you put in your water roll and I presume run through the taps?

Is this correct, would I need to turn the water heater on too?

do not know which cleaner you have but no the water heater does not need to be on. you put cleaner into the barrel and fill the system as normal.leave for one or two hours then flush through with clean water.fully drain after in case of frost.
