Drain the puriclean into it after doing water system, sterlising tablets also works.
I did this with mine, but not intentionally, I just didn't want the ground all wet around the 'van (was working on it at the time).
Personally I don't think it's that necessary. These are grey waste tanks. Grey waste is generally quite 'orrible stuff, there's not much getting away from it. I just make sure the caps are on properly before I put the empty containers back in the caravan at the end of my holiday.

its only washing up water but the smell when being emptied was really bad, especially on hot days.i started putting bleach in when the smell was coming back into the van through the drain.after bleaching no more smells.

i also soak hot bleach in it
Bleach is actually useless at 60 degrees celcius or over as the heat kills it off. About 55 degrees is the optimum compromise although it's strength reduces from around 30 degrees, the graph is almost vertical from 55 degrees.
After about 25 years we ended up with a coating of brown scum inside the Wastemaster. I tried everything to get rid of it and nothing worked. A new one is upwards of £70 so ....! My wife's suggestion worked.
You need a cheap toilet brush with a hole at the end of the handle, a broom handle, a length of string and some duct tape.
Soak the Wastemaster for a while to soften the gung. Tie the string to the end of the toilet brush handle so you can get it out when it comes off the broom handle. Duct tape the toilet brush to the broom handle.
Gently 'screw' the toilet brush into the drain hole opposite the pointy end of the WM. You can reach just about all of the inside of the WM with this setup. Take the brush out gently, take off the broom handle then insert same into top holes and you can get at most of the rest of the gung.
It's not 100% but it's the best I/we could come up with!
We saw a Wastemaster in Halfords £49.99, then we went to another motorhome dealers at Portobello and they had them on sale for £39.99, that's quite a difference £10. So anyone selling them at £70 upwards are just taking the P
