Allowances are for helping you out at home in different ways, by others helping your or things to buy to help you.
The car mobility is for helping those who need extra help to get out and including away on holiday, by the car they pay for via giving up their high mobility allowance.
Not for paying out for caravans, motorhomes, tt or FC that you pay for yourself. For those that are disabled that have no hols. Age concern & other disabilty places give help in that area by knowing hotels or boarding houses that cater for such.
My mobility allowance gives me a car on lease, I am very thankful for this as no other way of getting one. The FC we bought with savings we had already. I do not expect the people who still work to pay for my FC. I paid full stamps for my benefits and my Bob paid all his life that helps pay for me.
BUT I would rather be fit & healthy and still be able to walk so I do not need those benefits. The someone else could have them.
When they are cutting the blue badges from a lot of people who cannot walk far,and could still be needing them badly but have lost them. You ask for a caravan to be considered.
Get real.be satisfied, or go without, the same as we did to get what we have.
I would get a tent if I could not have the FC anymore, there is such a thing as getting a higher bed made that is portable.A lump of wood, 4-6 wooden legs screwed on/off for travel. A foam mattres we have already.The rest of the camping gear we have.
I will not be giving up or in that easy.Nor abuse the system when others go without.That need it like I do and do not get it like I do.
