I have just bought a pair of these mirrors. The ones I have been using are Pyramid, and similar design. I had trouble with these turning under the influence of the slipstream, and had to fit small friction pads (slips of fine wet-and-dry) for the thumbscrews to clamp onto. Has anyone using the Aero mirrors had this problem, and will I possibly have to take a similar course with these new Milenco mirrors?
I have used these on our old Vectra and now on our X-Trail and have never had any issue with them moving once clamped on. Good mirrors and very well built!

Thanks for that. Looks as though I won't have a problem. With the existing mirrors I worked out why they turned. Because the arms are cranked, the slipstream produced the effect of a handle being turned. Staight arms would be better, but I can appreciate the need for the arms to turn upwards when fitted to the lower edge of the car mirror so as to be at a level that gives visibilty. I fit my mirrors to the top edge, and have had to buy the longer arms anyhow, so a choice of straight arms would have been good for me.
Hi Berti, I must admit my nearside one has a tendency to wander a bit lower from where I had originally set it but strangly the off side one is perfect. Nonetheless I think they are great mirrors and have ordered a pair of convex ones to give me a bigger viewing area.
What i did was clamped them too the mirror then loosened the clamps on the arms let them swing down till they were happy tightened up then adjusted mirrors to suit and never had a problem since
I've been using these mirrors as well without any problems at all like others have said so it seems that you must be fitting them incorrectly. The two holders that the bar slides through that clamp on to the top of the door mirror housing, have you got them as far apart as you can? Some have had problems with mirror vibration and movement in the past and it's all because they have had the two clamps too close to each other. Move the two clamps further apart and see if that cures the problem.
The thumbscrew clamps for securing the arms of the aero mirrors look more robust than those of the Pyramid ones, so that probably makes all the difference.
