Have just come back from a weekend down brean, Went to try out my lunar clubman 475/2 Every thing seems in order but the only thing i am concerned about is the onboard water pump.
I have always used a submersable pump in the aquaroll, the luner is a 2004 and as an onboard water tank with a AQUA 8
water pump, the pump is under the bench seat at the front it does look quite new. The problem is it makes quite a lot of noise when it draws water. Is this common for an on board water pump, it says quiet power pump on the paper work. Help apresiated is this the way they are.
My van has an on board pump and it does seem quite loud. Some people have put rubber underneath them to lessen the noise.
I don't find the noise too bad to warrant doing anything about it and you can't really hear it from outside the van so it doesn't cause any issues for people on neighboring pitches.

I don't think so Mr P. They are noisy as a rule. Mines doesn't have a filter. The filter is on the end of the submersible thingy you put in the barrel not on the pump

mounting the pump on a rubber mat will make it more quiet, also a surge damper fitted could help too.the only other thing i can think of a making a wood box with an insulated lining to go over the top of the pump.you could try a ruffled blanket over the pump before making a box.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Our van came as standard with the internal pump mounted on a piece of 10"x 4" contiboard which was sitting on four rubber feet, it also has a surge damper and to be truthful you have to listen for it as it's very quiet
