Hi all, I have managed to find caravan storage for half the price of what we were going to pay its £20.00 per month.

I spoke to the owner and said I take it you have insurances and he replied no you have to have your van insured.

Is this normal practice?  our van of course is insured, but I thought they would also need some kind of insurance.

Or is this why it is so cheap.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I just thought that if my van got damaged by another van for example whilst in storage should they have liability insurance.

I went to the site last night, there is a locked compound, and its at the back of a fenced off company, so there is no way anyone could get the van out without trashing it.

I have emailed my insurance companythe new address and the only difference between this storage and our winter storage is this farm doesnt have restricted access so my premium may go up slightly.

that was my point, my van is of course insured, but like you I would have thought they need some kind of insurance if something goes wrong other than theft.

I will press this issue with him.
