hi just purchased our caravan and we need to send our cris registration form off. Its prob me not looking in the right place but i cant seem to find how much the fee is to register? can anyone help please?

You can telephone them on 01722 411430 and they will be able to tell you. If I remember right it was around £12 but that was 18 months ago so price may have increased.

I all depends if you bought the caravan private or from a dealer. If you buy private then you have to pay the registration fee with CRIS at HPI but some dealers probably offset the cost in the administration fees. I bought mine from a dealer but the paperwork was sent to my home address from HPI and had to return the documentation with an enclosed cheque.

New caravans are free, second-hand its up to the dealer but normally they will let you pay...

Its also worth having a look at the Chris extra which is micro dots and another chip installed by yourself and then registered with Chris

I've never really seen the point of registering a second-hand 'van! No legal requirement. Especially an old one.  I get the CRIS Cert from the previous owner and then just e-mail CRIS and say I've got it.  They reply asking me to register and pay and I ignore the request.  They have a record of me through the email and when I sell I hand on the CRIS to the next owner with explanation.  Never been a problem.

However most people like to do it to keep things right.

We paid £12 the other day to register our Sprite Alpine 4.

We were also offered the 'enhanced' pack for about £40, but we already had this (stickers, microdots and a couple of transponders).
