Well, we have purchased our first caravan (pick it up tomorrow, whoopee!) and it looks like we have secured storage for it...now it's time to bombard the board wth all the daft newbie questions.
First up is relating to Wastemasters. I bought a 2nd hand one off Ebay the other day and have noticed that some have bungees attached. What purpose do these serve and should I nip in to B&Q?
Thanks.
Ah! So remove the cassette then attach the bungees round both...that makes sense. Thanks bobsbabes.
I'm sure there'll be much more to come as we begin to try to make sense of it all.
Some cassette toilets are longer than others, for example the C4 is the older type casstte and although it's slightly lower it is much longer and more awkward to carry than the C200 cassette. I used to get 4 days usage from the C4 so it was quite heavy and used to carry mine on my wastemaster to the CDP (Chemical Disposal Point). My caravan now has the C200 which is a smaller tank and get about 2-3 days usage so it's lighter and smaller in comparison and usually carry this by hand. If you have a disability then the wastemaster comes in handy to carry any size capacity cassette tank and the bungee chords are there to fix it to the main body so it doesn't fall off during transportation.
I always use the wastemaster to carry the looe to the disposal point, when they are both full it can be hard work. I noticed you havent filled in your profile it will help later on when you need further help. As a newbie dont forget your towing training there are so many dangerous numpties out there its only a matter of time before one is close to me. Enjoy your new aquisition.
