Heater - The heater works with gas, however it has a mind of it's own on the electric. It comes on and goes of at will. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.
Sounds the same problem as we had last week. Got the van back from the dealer yesterday and it was a faulty room thermostat. One thing to try is with the heater switched on turn the thermostat dial starting at the lowest number.....at somepoint you should hear a faint click to show it has turned the fire on. Ours wasn't doing this and would only work on occasion when set to the highest number (9). As mentioned in the other thread there is also two internal stat's which might be the problem....I think you will need to get an engineer to look at it. Thankfully ours was done under warranty but I can't see it would have a cost a huge amount to get done.
Thanks, no click on ours either. When it did work it was only set on low numbers (1-3) and was getting very hot on these settings. Fans were blowing cold though.
Looks like we'll have to get it seen to

yeah ours was the opposite, wouldn't work unless turned up to 9! If you could get to Nottingham then contact Arc systems (http://www.arcsystems.biz/. I think it is Gary (Sorry if I have got his name wrong) who often comments on here who runs it and they have very good feedback.
The room stat is normally within the truma control dial.(if yours is a Truma)......i.e the switch where you select 500/1000/2000w and adjust the temp setting from 1-9. I am sure Gary will be able to tell you how to remove it and if he can test this for you. I know from other threads that he can test relays, etc sent to him so it might be an option.
