I have a 1990s caravan and the bunk bed doesn't have any sort of guard to stop the child falling off. Has anyone got any idea's as to how I can make something just to reassure the children that they won't fall?

I've seen these http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.riverswayleisure.com/acatalog/BunkLaddersNets.html but does anyone know how they fix? Just thinking because it's an all it one mattress/ bunk thing

We bought one of these from argos.  It slides under the mattress/cushions and hooks under the far side.

You can see how it works better in this picture.

It is adjustable and folds up when not in use.

there isn't a mattress - it's literally the back of the sofa that pops up.

The bottom sofa cushions form the mattress usually.

hi Helen,
I have the same kind of bunks(my bottom bunk does have a mattress/cushion, but the top one is literally just the padded back of the sofa pulled up. I've had to think of some way to secure my little girl, but she's on the bottom so it's not so difficult. Sorry I can't think of anything to help at the mo, but will be watching with interest in case she has to move upwards!
Good luck.

Thing is most of the time we'll have the awning because my stepson will be with us and it's only a 5 berth van so i can put my eldest daughter in there with him and put my twin girls in the double so we won't need the bunk but there will be times where we stop off overnight on the way somewhere that we will need it because i don't want to put up the awning for one night.
