Hi all i hope this works as it is the first time i have tried to upload a photo. Anyway the photo should show our Dorema awning (880-910cm)we had for our last van. It has been used for about 6 weeks in total. Was brand new to us and rrp was £850 according to dealer. comes with steel poles, storm straps, curtains, draft excluder and is in very very good condition. i need to sell it so i can buy a new one for the new larger van. Our old van was 4.9m long and the awning was 2.4m deep.
My question is how much can i ask for it on fleabay in your opinion?
You don't say which model it is. The rrp is a price which no-one ever pays. The real price which people actually pay will be a fraction of this. A dorema montana super lux size 10 (875 - 900cm) sells on the dorema site for £444. The problem with full awnings is that you need to find a buyer in the market with the exact size requirement. They won't pay near to the discount price as people would rather buy new if there isn't a big saving. They are big items to post.
Have a look at the section for secondhand sales on here.
I won't buy a full awning again as porch awnings can be used for the next van.
I would try around £350 - £400 on eBay classified ads.The last awning I sold on EBay was an Isabella which we had bought new and we had only used a couple of times and we got £500 for it eventually on EBay classified.
It looks a lovely awning, good luck with your sale.
Dont expect a lot if you sell on Ebay.I put a porch awning on last year, only had 9 days use, it went for 20% of its price new and there was only one bid.

I have just sold an NR Awning on ebay. It was in very good condition because its hardly been used but it was a few years old and I was a bit disappointed that I only got £87 for it. Found the fees on ebay a bit on the high side.
Interested in the ebay Classified Adds, how does that work? Do they show up when you do an ebay search?
I wouldn't pay more than about £120 for it if I wanted it.
Its 2nd hand condition unknown, collection only as it cannot be posted, size specific, there's a lot of choice out there and people are moving towards lightweights.
It's worth what you can get and depends how long you can wait.
Sadly second hand awnings don't fetch much, great for the buyers though, we bought a 5 year old immaculate Isabella for £200 and a 3 month old quest for £200 that had been up once and cost £1300 new!
I agree with millermicm that the steel poles may affect the price, most people look for the lightweight ones now.

I have put our Bradcot Active 960 on Ebay and the auction finishes at the weekend. It's a little bit grubby but does have the easy alloy poles.
I was hoping to get at least £200 for it, but I'm not sure now after reading the above posts...
