We have just bought a secondhand caravan and would like to kit it out for about a grand - have the foam recovered on the seats, the trims recovered, new mattress & curtains fitted. It's a 5 berth Hobby. As we are new (i.e. this is our first caravan!) can anyone tell me if this is a realistic price for this done? And can anyone recommend anyone that does this kind of thing - it is sited just outside of Newcastle Under Lyme.
There's a shop on the industrial estate in Carlton (off the mini round about) that does servicing, upholstery re-covering / curtains and a shop that sells loads of stuff. Shops number is 01226 244997 it's called Caravan Supplies. The lady in the shop said to email the measurements of my cushions and they'd give me a price email. garyatkustomsport.co.uk.
When I looked into doing the same I found a company in Derbyshire,You take your van to them and stay overnight they provide hookup, you then go off and visit the surrouning area which I thought was quite a good idea. Will try to find the number for you.
We've used Tockfields in te past & wil use them again without a doubt should the need arise. www.foam.co.uk will find you a website whih you can go through to price your job up. They're not far from you & do a lovely job. I don't think you'd get the whole thing done for £1,000 but it might be worth a call to them for advice & a price.
I'll second that and third it as we've used Baz twice, Linda burst into tears when see laid eyes on the fantastic job they did.
Still friends and always have a chat when we see him at shows
we just had 2 seat and 2 back cushions new foam everything £350 on the industrial site at skeggy
