Its the likes of those that do, that brings the wrath down on genuine caravan users heads, tarring them with the same brush so to speak.

So we both agree here also, would not park our fc there, too worried it would go for walkies.Have seen a few though on our hols. But thought they were just parked for the night, but then thinking about it, it was a bit of a queer thing to do as asking  for trouble or insurance claim job maybe???

best thing to do if you leave your caravan on the road..is move it to your local industrial estate and live in it maybe throw some rubbish around and deffo go the loo in the bushes...seems the council can't touch your van then.. only joking.. i've not seen a caravan kept on the road for years...

gets my vote if it includes all the works vans parked at night round here,some larger than our caravan.

Hi, Agree there, one caravan was parked on a bus route for 2years before the owner was finally contacted to get it moved, very surprised it took so long as it was parked on a slight left hand bend in the road.

I think most of the caravans left on the streets in Portsmouth are cheaper than a years worth of storage. Maybe they are just dumping them or have been given a van without the foresight of storing it correctly.

Being one of the most densly populated cities in the country there is hardly any drives in front of homes and parking can be a nightmare.

Coastal as well, lots of boats.

Good work council!!! 

I hope they're locating & charging owners of items such as this burnt out caravan for the disposal of their obviously unwanted property. I know a man who makes a serious living collecting abandoned vehicles for the authorities, this work must cost the tax payer a fortune.
