Are you planning to make loose fit covers that can be removed like a pillowcase and washed, or fully fitted perminent replacements for the existing infills?
You can save material on the perminent type by using the plain curtain lining fabric (not Blackout lining, as you would end up wearing off the special coating) to cover the undersides of the seat covers where it doesnt show.
The big pillowcase type can be made from good quality fleece material, which will have a bit of stretch in the fabric to give a snug fit, its also fairly cheap to buy, and looks good when contrasted by some nice patterned scatter cushions.
