I've been put in charge of finding an awning for my sister for her caravan, as she's away, her caravan awning size says 942, will a 950 fit, can someone tell me ASAP as I've found one on eBay and it finishes today and if I bid and win I want to be sure it will fit hers.
Thanks in advance
Donna :)

It's about 8 cms. bigger which is about 3 inches so it should be okay. It's best to go slightly bigger anyway just in case the ground falls away from the doorway.

It's a bradcot active I've seen. They have a porch awning but they need a full awning as they are going away for two weeks.

Here's a link for Bracot awning sizes. If you know the caravan details then enter them into the appropriate boxes and it should give you the final results.
On the bradcot site it says a 960, so that won't fit then? Or would it be ok still?

Well personally I would tend to go with an awning manufacturer size really rather than cuddles because these companies are in the profession of manufacturing awnings on a daily basis. The problem is now that originally you were asking if the bigger size of 950 would fit a 942 but now it's changed to the opposite way and asking if a 950 will fit a 960 size which will be about 4 inches smaller. If you even it up either end it's only about 2 inches smaller either side but I have always been advised to go slightly bigger. My awning size in the handbook is an 886 cms. but I bought the 875 - 900 cms which fits perfectly. According to the Dorema chart the recommended size for a 960 is a 950 - 975 cms. so although the 950 is right on bottom limit it should fit although I would be tempted to go the next size up personally.
I think I'll look for a 960, she'd kill me if I bought an awning then it didn't fit , seemed like a good idea to leave it with me to do......hindsights great lol.
Good thing I love her!

If the details you entered are accurate and the awning manufacturer states it's a 960 cms. awning rail then I think you would be quite safe to go along those lines Donna. Even though I bought my awning from Dorema, when I checked the sizes on the Bradcot website as well the details were identical in stating it was a size 900 cms. so the more research you do the more confidence you gain in choosing the right size awning. It's an expensive item that you only buy once so it's got to be right first time especially if it's second hand as you can't exchange it for a bigger size like you can with a new one. I once had a new Bradcot awning with my old caravan and to be quite fair I thought it was a well made robust awning and quite easy to erect too.
There are quite a few awnings for sale on here that are appropriate size (including mine!!)I bought my new one off ebay from the other end of the country but it only cost £25 to get it couriered home so don't feel you have to stick to a local purchase.
