I am thinking of buying a 12V TV, I have seen the Meos which I quite fancy as it folds away very nicely.  Unfortunately, I have never heard of them.

Has anyone got any views?

Many thanks

Meos get some good reviews, and folk on hear who have bought Meos say good things about them, I am looking at getting a 13" Meos to replace my old Thomson 10" CRT portable, having said that, I have not yet seen a LCD/LED deliver as good a picture as my old Thomson.

Avtex do some nice 10" and upwards with hard glass screens, but are expensive in comparison to the Meos offerings.

Also Avtex are one of the few manufacturers making small TV's with embeded satellite and terrestrial tuners along with DVD and pause/record.

I just bought a Kogan 19" with inbuilt DVD player, costs £99 and seemed really good in the house and will try this weekend. Can be 12v or 240v. they do a 16" too.http://www.kogan.co.uk/shop/19-hd-led-tv-dvd-pvr-srs-kogan-pro-led/

We have a Meos 13.3" TV/DVD combi which we bought a couple of years ago. DVD slot is on the correct side for us, good picture, easy to set up & tune in, lots of inputs and build quality is good. Remote not too fiddly either.

We are very happy with it.

(Ours doesn't have PVR)

Edited to add link

You do have to plug in an external hard drive (not supplied) to get the PVR!

Friends had a Meos bought for them from their son the Christmas before last and it lasted just 13 months. It couldn't be repaired and no help at all from Meos.I'm sure they are fine when they are working all right, their's was but the minute it ceased to work there was no help from anywhere. They have had to buy a new one.(not a Meos)
