Hi. We have a winterhoff WS3000 hitch that we usually close using the steel security ball from a stronghold lock set. We need to close the hitch without the security ball and lock attached and don't know how to do it? I've seen it done with another winterhoff so believe it can be done.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, I've never used a ball to close it.  If you reach inside the hitch there's a catch which, if you push it, allows you to close the lever.

Yes - thats the way to do it, though it can bite!  A screwdriver handle or similar works, I think the catch is to the rear of the socket( ie the caravan end).
