I have the opportunity to Purchase a Bailey Oakmere 2 Birth Caravan (1997) I would say it is in a good condition, but does need a good clean. It was purchased by the owners from New.
Can anyone suggest a reasonable price ? I have never considered a caravan before, being a Tent Person, but it may be worth considering if the price is right, Alas I have no idea what the right price would be.
I have Googled and looked on Ebay to no avail. This is a private purchase from a friend, and as such I would expect that it would be cheaper than from a commercial trader.
about £1800----£3000.. depending on condition. and were you buy. the north west seems to have cheaper and cleaner older van..i have just spent 6 months looking for mine in this price range. i live in devon and got mine from blackpool. its a 1997. and its fantastic..hope you enjoy your caravaning..its great
Thanks, I think I have come across that site, but they do not have any oakmere Listed, I am not even sure what is Similar to it. What Class of Caravan it is, eg Tesco Value, standard or Tesco Finest (if you know what I mean)

Hi I am led to believe that the meres are swifts. Harrington's special caravans not Baileys. I could be wrong.
I think you're right I think they are swift not bailey.

The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
If you go one ebay and put in 'Bailey 2 berth' you will might see one that looks most like yours to compare. The value will depend on size/layout too. Some 2 berths have end washrooms and some end kitchens etc. We paid £3400 for a 2003 2 berth (Abbey) if that helps. As for class of caravan, it will depend on the level of trim. Bailey produce caravans across the range.
