I have just bought a new chrome plated plastic mixer tap it is equipped with a micro switch, my old tap did not have this, do i need to connect it and if so how and where, my system has a pressure switch and the old system worked fine.

you do not need the micro switch. if it is a pressurised system it will work without using the micro.as you open the tap the water will flow and pressure drops this starts the pump running.

Thanks for the info, i am now trying to source a means of connecting the flexible pipes attached to the new tap to the hot and cold water pipes from the pump
