I noticed in Lidl today they are selling what they called matting I think but on closer inspection was a dark blue breathable groundsheet. They only had a couple left and they were both 3m x2m and £14.99. Ideal for porch awnings I thought. Would have bought one for our Kampa Rally if we didnt alreadt have one.

I  got one for our porch a couple of weeks ago, we had the last grey one in our local store, it also says machine washable which is fab!! Went for this over the carpet style as we can cut it to the exact size.

Hi Fat Belly, Agree a bit loud, should be ok if you can muffle it a bit, or if you are out in the wilds, the Honda Eu10i £840 =52db, Eu26i £2000 =49db, a lot quieter than the Parkside generator, and a lot dearer, Parkside not known for their quiet machinery , as they say you only get what you pay for, still maybe handy for some though!.

Wouldn't want that connected to my caravan, heavens knows what the waveform is like and how stabilised the output is. It might be fine for powering a cement mixer but not worth the risk of blowing a psu or more on the caravan. At 96db you will be able to hear it a mile away. You would be better off spending the money on a second hand generator with inverter technology, even a Kippor. I'm not anti generator, I have two, but if anyone started up a noisy open frame monster at 96db within half a mile of me I would not be a happy bunny.

Surely it is possible with today's technical innovations that someone could come up with a piece of kit that would produce a perfect sine wave to save the blowing up of sensitive equipment within your van. A piece of kit that fits between the Gennie and the van.
