Just picked up a Humax Foxsat Freesat HD PVR, for camping use handy for time shifting your viewing so you can watch later in the day, and unlike Sky+ that will not work without a satellite signal, the Humax will let you view recorded programs, even without the dish connected, very handy for overnight stops etc.

Also you can store Std def recordings to memory stick, another handy feature.

Being pedantic that system is not a freesat system it is a Free to air system.  As I understand it is you will get the same channels but not the EPG just now and next.  If  I'm wrong about this I'm sure someone will correct me.

Aldi had a Free to air Ross  HD system for £59.99 12v and mains a few weeks ago may be still a few floating arround the shops,

Look for a sky installer parked in the street. (Vans are brightly painted)  They will usually do a cash deal for a 2nd hand sky box and dish, LNB, cable and all you need to get started. (Expect to pay around £50/60 for the lot)

You will get all the info there you need.  Practice at home before you go but it's relativerly simple once you get the hang of it

I have the Comag model,never had any prob`s with getting all programmes from Astra 2,but as with all portable systems, the LNB arm has to be perfectly horizontal.

You can also use this to give you some idea where to point your dish,just put the location post code in at the top.
