Thanks short fuse, im obviously short of common sense, I was trying to catch it in the top of a pop bottle! If I cut the top of it will be much wider...............................genius :)
i have made a short piece of plastic pipe long enough to go outside and inserted it with a pointed hollow hard plastic.once the rubber plug is removed i push this into the van pipe this way i can drain into a bucket or whatever.for the few seconds this takes i put an old towel in the bottom to catch any drips.most of the water is pumped into the toilet before i do this.

We use car windscreen sunshades on the windows, motor home ones for the front. As to the toilet, empty into bottom using flush and empty bottom simples.

I always think that if my blinds are down then potential theives may think there is something worth nicking from the van, I make sure that nothing is left on view just as you would with a car so hopefully they'll not even try and break into the van

We leave blinds closed when in storage but open them when moving. If you don't close them the sun can fade the upholstery. Open them when the caravan is being towed as that is when they can become damaged if down.
As for loo - I don't know the answer toilet emptying is an outside job therefore mens work!!!
