For coverage all over France, go for an 80cm Solid Aluminium Dish, even on campsites with lots of tree shade you will still be able to pick up a signal in most cases.
We have have just upgraded from a std Sky box, to a Humax Foxsat 320gb PVR, so that we can pause live tv and record stuff.
But more importantly, should we not be able to find a satellite signal, the Humax will let us watch previousley recorded tv programs that have been stored on the Hard Drive. and will hold 200 hours of standard def recordings.
It's a handy feature and somthing that Sky+ won't let you do, unless the receiver is getting a satellite signal..
Also the Humax PVR will let you run the box of a single satellite feed, as it has an LNB loop through facility, it does restrict your recording choices slighty, but will still work like a PVR.
