Hi all

wonder if anyone can help.. I love my Elddis Cyclone XL. It has a set of drawers at the front of the van which are moved to put the bed up. It is either a design fault or I am missing where the drawers should go. They are too high to go under the bed and too wide to go anywhere else so they end up in the awning.

Thanks for any advice

Sure thanks Kenles, trying to find out where in the van the Drawers should go once we put the bed up. Cant find a place in the van.

They stay where they are when making the bed up, or you can leave them out and buy the extra cushions to make seating right round the front

Thanks, not sure now why I assumed they must come out. Thanks for your response. I will try leaving them in, being quite tall the space is good. Will try leaving then in....

If you sleep on single beds, the drawers remain in place and you sleep length ways. If you are making up a double bed you still leave the drawers in place, pull out the sliding slats below the drawers and make up the matress part with the cushions and sleep cross ways (the opposite way). The drawers are removable as a complete unit but this is for mainly for cleaning and if you drop small items down the back such as a pen and for any repairs as it's much easier to take the unit out rather than repair a permanent fixed cabinet.

In most caravans the made up front double is at least 6ft 6ins long when made up across the width of the caravan, and more than adequate for most tall people.

My Elddis Vogue SL (Wisp) has exactly the same removable drawers. We always leave them in place and sleep across the width of the van using the slats or occasionally, we use the singles. With the drawers removed and left at home, you have the option of "u" shaped seating and a massive double bed.
