Just wondering what other people's views are on this topic - a couple of weeks ago (in the glorious weather) we stayed on a fab site on a hardstanding fully serviced pitch with an area for the awning and a lovely grassy area up until the caravan next door which was about 10ft wide - I was wondering if others thought that whilst on a pitch like this the grassy bit 'belonged' to you ? The reason I ask is that we were kind of sandwiched between two families in motorhomes who used 'our grassy' bit as a walk thru to save them the extra 20 seconds to walk round. We'd been out for most of the Saturday and returned about 4pm and presumed they'd been doing that all day (which perhaps isn't a problem if you're not there) but continued to do it when we came back even squeezing past me when I was trying to have forty winks on a sunlounger. I was getting more and more annoyed but didn't feel I could say anything as I thought it might sound petty, I would really like to know what people thoughts are.
Establish clearly with campsite reception the limits of your 'territory', whack in your 10 windbreaks to clearly define the boundaries of 'your' land. Invaders repelled, job done.
That would really annoy me too. I hate my personal space being invaded. I would have block the way. Perhaps you could have put your sunlounger across the way?

------------- Wish I could go camping more and not have to work for a living!!!
i dont mind kids cutting threw my pitch now and again, but when there lazy parrents follow them it does wind me up a bit. why cant they just stick to the path it takes about 10 seconds more to walk round.

This annoys me too - last week on a site there was a sign saying "this is not a walk though" but people just ignored it and walked past the sign to the amenities block! It wasn't our 'piece of grass' but the pitch next door to us and there was a caravan on that pitch. But i did see many people walking 'through' other peoples pitches - its very rude - i'm sure they wouldn't like their 'space' invaded in the same way!
