Hi,

 

We're looking for a new (secondhand) caravan and have seen a Geist LV485.  It is in very good condition, immaculate interior with no discernible damp etc.  I believe it's a non-timber frame although I'm not 100% sure about this...

Does anyone know what these tow like (our car is a Galaxy 2.3 Ghia, automatic) and is it a thumbs up or thumbs down?

Only read good things about them. Our Geist is our first van so I have nothing to compare with but it has been fine for the 3 years we have owned it.

They are relatively budget level caravans by German standards but are quite heavy. Hopefully, you've checked all the weights and I'm sure a Galaxy will tow it with no problem.

The van looks sound, unfortunately we think we'll have to give up on getting it as we can't find any storage places anywhere at the moment!
