We have had the Jockey wheel drop on the motorway what is needed is a hole drilled through to put a pin to stop the Jockey wheel dropping down. Manufactures take note we all do not have big muscles even when I tend to put my foot on handle to tighten up.

I have to have my jockey wheel right up just to get out of my drive. Even then, the rear steadies scratch the ground though they`re wound up as far as they go! My exit to the road is too steep.

It doesn't help when people come chatting to you when you're preparing to leave. I hitched up yesterday and couldn't believe the number of other caravanners who wanted to chat when I was trying to concentrate on the job in hand. I always have a final walk round before setting off and, sure enough, Heki open and stabiliser handle not pushed down.
They all meant well, wishing us a safe journey etc but I wish they'd talk to someone else.
sometimes i wish i was a traffic cop ,as some of the things i see daily make the blood boil ,for instance last week a gentleman driving along the main A55 through north wales towing a very wide continental (hobby ?) caravan at around 70mph with a disco ,snaking quiet a bit and just about to go down rhualt hill if anyone knows it ,and not only that but the gentleman in question (i,m being polite in case he's a member) was also totally unaware of the fact that if your caravan is wider than the car by law ,you have to have extension mirrors fitted ,grrrr
I had the jockey wheel drop onto the road once, i think when i raised it the shaft was slightly twisted and it worked loose, i am extra careful now that it is perfectly straight
