I know these are fairly cheap and cheerful, but they do have a 5 year water ingress warranty. I have done a search and read a little about them .

Does anyone own one of these and if so their views would be appreciated.

As Christian said they are better known in Europe, particularly France. Some models also have the advantage of being quite light weight for the given size. No personal experience of them.
