I use one of these. Halfords sell them. Never tried using the air in a garage as they are always in caravan unfriendly locations!!!

Or just get yourself a decent quality foot pump. If you check the pressures regularly (as you should) then they shouldn’t need much adjustment.
It needs to be decent quality as the old one I had was letting out air faster than I could pump it in! I now have a michelin one and it seems to do a good job,
I have a Ring RAC 600 - as my caravan tyre pressures are 65psi !!!!!!!!!!!! Many inflators only go up to 50psi.
Just plug it in to cigar[ette] lighter.
First class bit of kit.
I would always check the tyre pressure with a good quality pressure gauge, whatever the inflating method. Garage pumps are notoriously inaccurate, and while I also have the Ring RAC 600 and like it, its reading is not accurate according to my separate pressure gauge!

Practical Caravan mag did a review of a number of 12v pumps a couple of years back and the Michelin came out as the best value. On the strength of that I bought one and seems to work ok but always check pressures with a seperate gauge as well...Mick
maplins sell a bright yellow rechargeable jump-starter with a tyre inflater built into it along with a 12V output. I've had mine a couple of years now and am well happy. I think it was about £30.
Although I have a 12v inflator I reckon that a good foot pump is as good because depending on where you are checking the tyres it might not be convenient in terms of reach to use the electric one. I thought I would be clever and run the electric pump from the caravan supply but it just blew the fuse.
I have a Ring emergency pack.its a jump starter, tyre inflater,300watt inverter ect. I bought it as it can also be used as a secondary power supply for a battery charger & recharged via the car lighter socket The ones shown in the link can be bought cheaper elswhere though

thinking of getting this one as it deflates too which is good for the kayak!
After trying 12 Volt pumps and foot pumps with disappointing results, particularly so in later years where the required inflation pressure has been 65 psi I found an excellent solution. I use a reasonable quality cycle track pump, a Topeak Joe Blow Sport.

I make you vans MTPLM around 1500kg? and wonder what your tyre size is to warrant the tyres full pressure?
Ours are about the same on a Bailey Olympus 504 4 berth. My pencil t.p guage only goes up to 50 psi so I use the one on the michelin hi power pump as a guide then use a seperate digital one as a check. My foot pump wouldn't pump the tyres up as it couldn't cope with the high pressures.
