I reckon they probably could do with some hardcore through that entrance way otherwise they will not get their vans out.

I wonder if it would be possible to fit a type of balloon the full length of the van behind both wheels. So in case of a flood the balloons would inflate and your van would float - so you could wake up open the blinds and be somewhere in the channel and not a noisy neighbour in site.
