 Hi, we have a new to us old caravan that came with an awning,sunnflair..i think but we have no idea how these things work and are going for a one nighter this weekend so need help  before we become the site entertainment Unfortunately we don't have the room to try at home before we go,hubby thinks we should just buy a new light weight porch one but i think we should try before we buy !  The caravan is  Abi award dawnstar by the way.

Hi -

Most full awnings have similar methods of errection, if you don't have room to put up at home suggest you at least get the poles out and see how they go together, marking poles that go together with different coloured dots will help when you are on site.

 Thanks for that, great tip to colour code the poles and make sure they are all there before we arrive on site.

No problem, hope you have a good trip and it all goes up ok. Just take your time, also worth checking awning rail is clean and free of any obstructions, you can by a kit for a few pounds that contains a lubricant and a small brush.

 Well we are back and having purchased a second hand 260 ultima awning the evening before we went away, everything was great ! Don,t now need the full size one so that will be sold and the lightweight porch awning will be used  from now on,  it went up no problem and was just the right size gor us.! Loved the whole weekend and can't wait for the next.
